Assessment of the maturity of quantum technologies and algorithms NISQ

On March 4th, 2026, Valentin Gilbert, quantum IT consultant at Qounselor presented the results of its assessment of the maturity of quantum technologies and algorithms.
This study requested by the quantum computing hub partners proposes a mapping of recent developments in Near-Term Quantum Computing (NISQ), identifying major technological paths and analyzing the maturity of NISQ algorithms to solve real problems. The tool used for mapping allows visualization of the links between the 20 industrial use cases published so far with mathematical problems, resolution algorithms, and machine implementations. The study provides a clear map and objective evaluation while also delivering a robust evaluation method to facilitate understanding of technology/algorithm maturity states for any laboratory, end users or investors interested in knowing the state of NISQ quantum computing technology and algorithm maturity.
