Call for QuantAlps Postdoctoral Researcher Positions 2025

We are seeking outstanding candidates for QuantAlps Postdoctoral Researcher positions to develop an ambitious 2-year research programme on one of the topics relevant to QuantAlps, based in one of the QuantAlps laboratories, and in collaboration with local researchers.

The candidates must have a Doctoral degree and at least 2 years of postdoctoral experience. The starting date can be any time between September 1st, 2025 and January 1st, 2026. Successful candidates will be employed by the University Grenoble Alpes for 2 years with monthly gross salary starting from €3,000, depending on the work experience. The position has an accompanying research budget of 10 thousand euros for operating costs and to support the successful candidates' research activities.

Application

To apply, the candidates should :

  1. contact local researchers to ensure the support of the potential host laboratory,
  2. prepare the application file using the research proposal form that can be downloaded here. The application must include a cover letter, a CV, and the completed research proposal form containing approval signatures of the local contact in the potential host laboratory and of the director of the laboratory. The application file should be sent by e-mail to the following address:  chairs-quantalps@univ-grenoble-alpes.fr. The candidates should arrange for two recommendation letters sent to the same address. Application deadline is November, 30th 2024 at 23:59.

Selection

The selection will be based on the following criteria:

  • scientific level of the candidate,
  • quality of the research proposal,
  • relevance to QuantAlps research topics,
  • contribution to synergy between different laboratories or teams within QuantAlps ecosystem.

The applications are evaluated in a two-stage process by international reviewers. The first step of the selection will be based on the submitted application and recommendation letters; the second step will be an interview. The short-listed candidates selected for the interview will be announced in mid-January 2025 and the final decision will be made shortly after the interviews in the beginning of March 2025.
